One of the benefits of the tax policies of The Netherlands Antilles and Curacao is that it is profitable to register your ship here. Your ship not only gets to carry the Dutch flag but it will also profit from the local tax laws.
One of the oldest companies that delivers this service in the Dutch Caribbean is New World Shipping.
The people of New World Shipping asked us to create a no-nonsense website for them with only a few pages in the frontend. The backend though had to allow ship owners whose ships are registered through New World Shipping to have easy access to the various forms and documents associated with their ship. This means that ship owners can login, download the forms they need and they even receive an email when their documents are almost up for renewal. So, this new website is not just a good-looking online brochure, it's a functional tool.

 Constellation Offshore Recruitment
With Curacao becoming ever more popular - not only for tourists but also for financial institutions - our island needs more people to do the work. Constellation Offshore Recruitment, originally from Australia, is a recruitment company specifically targeting the accountancy/trust/legal market on Curacao, Bermuda and the Cayman Islands. They just opened their satellite office on Curacao and asked us to build the website for this office.
The website is very straightforward with a lot of information for people looking for employment or employees on Curacao, Bermuda or Cayman. The design is functional and business-like without forgetting that we're talking tropical offshore financial centers. |

 Cas Abao Beach, Watersports and Shop
Cas Abao Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches of Curacao. It has been one of those forgotten pearls for a long time, but now with all the hospitality projects in the neighborhood two local investors have taken it upon themselves to further develop this beach.
This new website is the website for the watersports activities and the shop on the beach. We got the logo and some images from the developers and had to build a website based on that. The result is a very fresh, colorful website which really captures the beauty of Cas Abao Beach with a playful twist. |

 EzoneDesk
Curacao has always been a good location to establish companies. Besides a skilled work-force Curacao has all kinds of financial, legal and service-oriented businesses. Since 2001 we also have the so-called e-zones which, simply put, allow the companies established there to pay less taxes.
EzoneDesk is a company which offers services to companies looking to be established in one of these e-zones. Their services range from tax advice to internet services(!).
The website for Ezonedesk is built with the CMS Joomla with some added functionality like a custom frontpage and a dynamic news application. |

 Vidanova Pensions & Retirement
Vidanova is one of the largest Antillean pension funds. Their strength lies in the alliances they have with with other financial service providers. Through these alliances they can provide their members with financial services throughout their life, not just during their retirement.
Because of this diversification their website needed to change as well. It needed to better show the concept of Integrated Financial Services and appeal more to a younger clientele. Vidanova's new website now shows all the benefits of becoming a member of Vidanova and focuses more on the fun aspects of retirement. |

 Extra - Notisia di Korsou
The Curacao newspaper Extra is the largest newspaper on Curacao. One out of every six people on Curacao buys this newspaper and there is no lack of advertisers. The Extra really is on top of things, but their website desperately needed a face-lift and full-body workover.
The new Extra website needed to have a design that appeals to the Antillean common (wo)man. Their taste is very different from American or European tastes and it was quite the challenge to make sure that it was clear-cut, but still had the bold look and feel that Antilleans favor.
The Extra also made a big step forward by including the possibility for the community to comment on the issues' articles. No other newspaper on Curacao allows its readers this degree of freedom to express their opinion concerning items in the news. By doing this they are converting readers into members of their community which is what web 2.0 is all about. |

 Belgian Flavour Chocolate Line
Everybody knows that the Belgians make the best chocolate in the world. Soon Curacao will have its own Belgian Master Chocolatier who will make the finest bon bons, pralines and chocolate from Belgian and local products.
Dieter Doens of Belgian Flavour asked us to create for him a logo, a basic template for his advertising and, of course, his website.
The web design for this website had to show the temptress that chocolate is to a lot of people. The idea was that if you could smell a website, this website had to smell like chocolate (somebody actually said this). Belgian Flavour's website has no fancy tricks, content management systems or heavy internet marketing campaigns. It's Belgian chocolate on a Caribbean island, it sells itself! |

 Motion Picture No Kai
Curacao has a very active art scene and one of the media they use is film. The latest product from this scene is the motion picture No Kai, produced by the Curacao Talent and Showbizz Foundation.
No Kai is a movie about the most basic of emotions; love, the need for appreciation and jealousy. It's dramatic, fast flowing and the quality is very high for Caribbean standards. The movie and the website are in Papiamentu (the local language of Curacao, Aruba and Bonaire).
Just like everywhere else, art is underfunded on Curacao. So, most projects rely on funding from sponsors. Dragonfly Media is one of the sponsors of this project and donated this website to the foundation. |

 Curacao Ports Authority
Curacao has many harbors and ports and these all fall under the management of the Curacao Ports Authority (CPA). This makes the CPA one of the largest companies on the island and consequently also one of the companies that produces the most information. This new website is the corporate website and is focused mainly on this goal; to supply interested parties with a central source of information.
The web design needed to convey two concepts: the Caribbean (specifically Curacao of course) and a professional attitude. We have tried to accommodate this with fresh colors, high-quality island photographs and a clear structure for a lot of factual, up-to-date information. In the near future the current, static content in the research section of the website will be replaced with dynamic information straight from their database. |

 JaCuracao
The magazine JaCuracao is the youngest magazine on Curacao and is dedicated solely to getting married on Curacao. The first edition is scheduled for April '08 and this preliminary site holds information for advertisers.
The Curacao wedding market is currently booming and will only grow further next year when getting married on Curacao will be promoted even more aggressively in the US and in Holland than it is already being done. So, this magazine comes at a very opportune time.
The magazine JaCuracao will be published by local publisher Loket1 and Bas Kok Creatieve Communicatie and DGF will take care of the website. We believe that together with Loket1 and Bas Kok we will be able to make sure that the magazine and this website will become the focal points for people looking for information on getting married on Curacao.
The magazine and site will, at first, be published in Dutch but there are already plans for also publishing it in English. |

 Zanzibar Beach and Restaurant
Zanzibar is one of the hippest beaches on Curacao. Located at Jan Thiel (in the east of Curacao) it is perfectly situated next to three popular resorts and several dive spots. This area is also the center of many of the new hospitality projects on Curacao so they can expect a lot of new guests soon.
Zanzibar's new website needed to better represent the new management's idea of what this unique beach and restaurant are about. The design needed to reflect the combination of a tropical island, contemporary European style and an East-African village. Besides creating a new design we also restructured the information on the site to better promote the many services they offer and to make sure they rank better in the search engines.

 Coaching Magazine
Coaching Magazine is thé Curacao magazine for management professionals. It is published 4 times per year and is in its fifth year now. Coaching features articles by professional writers covering a vast array of subjects; from articles about corporate governance to Feng Shui in the office.
This is another cooperative project with Bas Kok Creatieve Communicatie so Bas created the web design for the website and we implemented it in a web format.
The Coaching website is fully self-updatable. We used Wordpress as the CMS for this website, because it resembles a blog in many ways, but added our own functions to make sure that there is no overhead and it all fits snugly in this design. The website holds an impressive amount of useful, interesting content which will benefit the website greatly of course. |

 Hook's Hut Beach Bar & Restaurant
Our latest and freshest website design is the new website of Hook’s Hut. Hook’s Hut is a laid-back, relaxed beach bar on Curacao near the Marriott, Hilton and Floris Suite hotels. During the day Hook’s Hut caters to the people on the family-friendly beach and around dinner-time the beach chairs are cleared away for guests to have dinner on the beach.
They have bands (jazz, merengue, salsa, calypso) four evenings per week and their happy hours are famous on the island. Hook’s Hut is also a great location for a romantic wedding (pictures) or for any other kind of party. |

 Tradewind Villas
Luxury accommodations has long been an under-developed part of Curacao's tourism policies. Quantity was important, quality less so. But since a few years more and more tourists request high quality accommodations and the market responds by building, and renting out, more luxurious villas.
Villa Tropical and, soon to be finished, Villa Kon-Tiki are examples of this trend. Tradewind Villas (owner of these two villas) wanted a website with a luxurious look & feel, combined with a homely atmosphere. The idea should be that people should feel at home, but a more lavish version of home than normal. The result is now live.

 Sentro Orto Fisiko Korsou
Sentro Orto Fisiko Korsou is one of those local marvels that makes you think about how a small island can have larger-than-life people. This center for high-tech prostheses and orthotics is one of the most scientifically advanced centers of its kind in the greater Caribbean region. The modest prosthesist Tom de Windt and his wife, physiotherapist Mieke, run a practice that looks simple at first glance. But when you see how they give people hope with state of the art artificial limbs you see the bigger picture.
The previous website of Sentro Orto Fisiko was one of the oldest websites of Curacao, but not much had been done on it since. They came to us after we did a free SEO-report on the site within the Curacao SEO Project and asked us to redo their website so it would rank better in the search engines. |

Murray Scheper, Attorneys at Law
Small Murray Scheper is a well-known Curacaoan law firm. They are active in many aspects of the modern
law practice and are very engaged with sponsorships and special projects.
With their new website Small Murray Scheper wanted to showcase the company not just as a business but also
as a social company with real people. For this reason the lawyers tell you not only about their education and
experience but also about their passions. This personal touch, accompanied by professional photographs, adds a fitting
contrast to the slightly futuristic design of the website.
Another distinguishing feature of this website is the publications section. SMS is very prolific with churning
out publications in newspapers and magazines. Most of these publications are reproduced on the website and will
help the website with being found on 'long tail' search queries.

Sea Sports
Caribbean Sea Sports is a PADI 5* divecenter located at the
Curacao Marriott Beach Resort. As an organisation it is innovative,
creative and forward-thinking. We met Tom Zeck (owner of Caribbean
Sea Sports) after the first meeting of HSMAI's Curacao chapter.
He told us that he needed a new website which would score well
in Google and the other search engines. So, with his new website
we paid extra attention to onsite SEO, gave him some social
media tools (blog, newsletter) and we are also working on some
offsite SEO. We really like this project because Tom understands
the value of internet marketing and is willing to invest in
it. This new website is the first step to getting a good return
on his investment. |

Bank
In collaboration with Digisound.
Orcobank has as its slogan "Your personal banker".
When you enter their building you really do feel at home. There
are no endless lines and all the employees are smiling. Their
website on the other hand did not have the most friendly design.
So, they asked a local design agency to create a design for
their new website. When Dragonfly was born the Orcobank asked
us to add some functionality to the website like a few forms
and the search application. They also asked us to take care
of the technical maintenance of the website. Even though we
did not do the design or the SEO of this website, we do very
much appreciate their vote of confidence in us. |

Curacao
Resort & Casino
Renaissance Curacao Resort & Casino is the newest hotel
on Curacao. It is due to open its doors in the second half of
2008. The redesigned website functions as a portal for information
about the status of the construction, investor information and
as a job board. The hotel needed a redesign of their website
because they wanted the official Renaissance colors to be more
prominent, they needed more pages for information and they needed
added functionality for the job board. |

Motors
Caribbean Motors is the local Mitsubishi dealer on Curacao.
It is one of the oldest car dealers of Curacao and was the first
car dealer with a, for that time, modern website. Their former
website had gotten heavy and difficult to manage, so they asked
Dragonfly to create a new web design for them. We gave the entire
website a big design overhaul.
The web design is now completely up-to-date and the design adheres
to the international Mitsubishi standards. |

Glass Windows & Doors
Regimac is one of the forerunners on Curacao when it comes to
innovative, open and service oriented business. They asked Dragonfly
Media to redesign their website and to add more functionality
to it. Regimac plans to use its website to the fullest in conjunction
with the extension of their services to Bonaire, Aruba and St.
Martin. With the help of this new website
and an internet marketing campaign they plan to corner the Caribbean
market for security windows and doors. |

Hulanda Resorts
Hotel Kura Hulanda Spa & Casino and its sister property
Lodge Kura Hulanda & Beach Club needed a new website. Their
old website looked good, but was no longer suited to today's
needs. The main goals were to give it a more contemporary web
design, add some functionality and, most important of all, make
sure that it performed better in the search engines (SEO). Within
the first month after it went live the website almost doubled
the daily amount of visitors and it can now be found on the
first page of Google with many keywords. |

Hulanda Real Estate
& Vacation Club
The website of Kura Hulanda Resorts also featured a section
about real estate and about vacation club membership. As these
activities become more important for Kura Hulanda they decided
that a dedicated website for real estate and vacation club membership

the Hotel and Lodge they came to us to also create this newest
member of the Kura Hulanda on-line presence. |

The Curacao Dialysis Center is a private clinic for haemodialysis.
They needed a new website which had to focus on a Caribbean
look&feel in a professional, medical setting. Dragonfly

Since 2006 Curacao has its own HSMAI (Hospitality, Sales and
Marketing Association International) chapter. As a strategic
partner of the Curacao chapter we donated their website. This
website needs to become the main thoroughfare for individuals

of the HSMAI. We will continue to update and upgrade the website
