HSMAI Curacao Chapter receives Adrian Award at HSMAI Gala in New York

Regretfully we could not go, but Steven Damiana of CHATA and HSMAI Curacao could and he received the award, partly, on behalf of us. On behalf of the HSMAI Curaçao Chapter and strategic partner Dragonfly Media, Steven Damiana received a Silver Adrian Award for website design at the prestigious 18th annual Adrian Awards Gala of the Hotel Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) thanks to the support of American Airlines at the New York Marriott Marquis.
More than 1,000 top industry professionals gathered for the HSMAI event on Monday, Jan. 28, 2008. A virtual “who’s who” of the industry met for the multifaceted, black-tie networking event honoring award-winning work in hospitality, travel and tourism-related marketing. Top entries received recognition in Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze and “Best of Show” categories.
The HSMAI Curaçao Chapter an initiative of CHATA, received a Silver Adrian Award for website design. The website www.hsmaicuracao.org is designed and updated by Curacao Company and strategic partner of HSMAI Curacao Dragonfly Media.
Yahoo! bestowed its coveted Big Idea Chair Award, for the firm that exemplifies unique and outstanding work to Hilton Corporation and Y & R Brands. DEPARTURES magazine presented its Luxury Marketing Achievement Award for the most effective and creative advertising to the affluent market to Delta Airlines. TravelCLICK paid tribute to the best integrated eMarketing program in the hotel industry and presented the TravelCLICK eMarketer of the Year award to Georgetown Inn.
Recognizing individuals who have made significant contributions and lasting impressions on the hospitality and travel industry, HSMAI presented Lifetime Achievement awards to Ian Schrager, chairman and CEO of Ian Schrager Company, and Laura Davidson, founder and president of LDPR. During the evening, the “Top 25 Most Extraordinary Minds in Sales & Marketing” were also recognized.
Additionally, the gala included the HSMAI Foundation scholarship benefit raffle, with exciting travel packages.
CHATA congratulates the HSMAI Curaçao Chapter on receiving this prestigious award and for promoting the highest standards in sales and marketing in Curaçao to this international platform of industry professionals.
