Vacancy at Dragonfly Curacao: Web Developer

This position has been filled so the vacancy is now officially closed.

Only recently we were looking for a content editor (which we found in Kirstin Loedeman) and now we’re looking for a new addition to the team. We’re currently lo0king for a web developer to help us with the growing mountain of development work we have.

Dragonfly Media is a young web design & internet marketing company based in Curacao. We have clients from all walks of life, but cater mostly to hospitality and legal clients. We provide professionalism, continuity and a balance between design , development and marketing.

We are looking for a WEB DEVELOPER

Job Description
We are looking for a web developer who understands what makes the internet work. You need to be inquisitive, pro-active and able to translate the client’s vision into a functioning, marketable reality. You will be the one responsible for answering all kinds of technical questions and deciding if something is worthwhile to develop.

The ideal candidate will be a technically oriented person who can play well with other people, respects deadlines and is always open to learn and contribute. Nerds welcome.

Requirements
- Good with front-end development: XHTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Great with PHP & MySQL
- Experience working as a web developer
- Fluent in English (especially spoken English)

Appreciated, but not required
- Experience with JavaScript libraries like MooTools & jQuery
- Experience with setting up and tweaking Joomla, Wordpress & eZ Publish
- Knowledge of .NET (c#) & MS SQL
- Knowledge of SEO
- Good taste in music
